<p>We&#8217;re proud to announce another competition for budding engineers and space enthusiasts around the world.</p>



<p>The International Planetary Aerial Systems (IPAS) Challenge is a competition for university students which challenges to design Mars Aerial System (Vehicle) which shall be fully equipped and mission ready for <strong>Operation on Mars. </strong>Teams are supposed to carefully plan each subsystem of the Aerial System considering various extra-terrestrial parameters in design (Exceptions if any shall be mentioned). This competition is designed for students to explore their mind and spark the innovative design thinking of Individuals without putting any constraints on available physical resources. Students are encouraged to be as imaginative, creative and insightful as possible within practical implementable limits for the human race.</p>

<p>International Mars Hackathon challenges teams from diverse disciplines to come up with insightful solutions to mind-boggling Space Exploration problems! The 48hr competition requires students to think on their feet and devise creative approaches in several thematic areas.</p>



<p>1. Mars Rover Troubleshooting and Maintenance<br>2. Agriculture on Mars<br>3. Space Administration and Management</p>



<p>Comprehensive details of each challenge will be released on the day of the Hackathon (31st October, 12am IST). It will be an online event and teams will be given 48 hours to pitch in the ideas and provide solutions to the explicitly stated problems and situations. The problem statements will include opportunities for several sub-domains i.e. Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Bio-science and Management to explore their creative niche!</p>

Teams are supposed to carefully plan each subsystem of the Rover taking into account the various parameters like Martian atmosphere, communication and terrain challenges it poses. The teams are encouraged to bring out futuristic designs and concepts while ensuring that the technology they propose is realistic and within practical implementable limits of today&#8217;s human race. The exclusion of any type of budget and resource constraints allows teams to think out of the box.</p>
